my hedgehog acts like a douche when trying to get him out but once he's out he's very friendly. will he stop acting like such a douche when trying to get him out? i've only had him for about two weeks...also, should i get my hedgehog a wheel? all he does is sleep and he never comes out of his house. if i got him a wheel, would that make him more active?

do you keep him in your room? if not, it may only seem like he never comes out b/c they are nocturnal. my guys get upset with me when i wake them up during the day too. if you make sure there aren't any bright lights on in the room, he may start to come out before you head to bed.

i can pick mine up that easily b/c they are very comfortable with me. if you take the right steps and don't force it on them, yours won't always act like such a d-bag lol. (i'll msg you more stuff).

oh i forgot to say it in the video, but i've had Dewey since he was born. His mother was a rescue that was confiscated from a very neglectful petshop that went under. She was pregnant when she came to the rescue.
