Microsoft Corp announces that it is continuing the layoffs announce in January. 1,400 employees will be reduced out; bringing the total to the 5,000 that was announced.

So, again, American Industry dumps on its employees. A total of 5,000 people had their lives disrupted due to economic conditions that were way beyond their control.

Having been there, done that -- as a person on the layoff side -- you build a large distrust for the management of any large business. As an employee, you have no way to know if your job is ever secure which leads to physical and mental conditions for both the ex-employee and their families.

One way to get around the layoffs is to figure out a way to get out of the corporate structure. Unfortunately, this is usually easier said than done. When most people think of getting away from the corporate structure, they think of going into business for themselves.
