It's been 2 years and 9 months since a certain label man and UKG and Dubstep producer learned the World how to sway and swing again, bringin' UK Garage back to life with his now world-wide famous and highly esteemed L2S Recordings. Whistla Elltwoes and the L2S posse have pushed the boundaries of garage music ever since and Future Garage has colonized the club scene and radio stations world-wide over the last three years. This is L2S' impressing 70th release and this time we get a pack of HQ FG productions from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, Long Island, NY. 'Got Me Thinking' is an atmospheric 2-stepper featuring lush strings and melancholic synths over the hypnotic sound of what sounds to me as the slowed-down 'ringing' of a set og keys. Reference to the EP's title, maybe? Make sure to also check out the brilliant smokey dark garage roller of 'Skeleton Key' featuring tuff EL-B inspired beat-programming and bass. Needless to say: cop it.
