This is a tribute to the life of my magnificent 242 lb. English Mastiff Diesel, who was diagnosed with liver and stomach cancer. He struggled near the end and waited for me to immediately return from Italy upon receiving the news. We shared a glorious last few days and sadly, had to put him down. He was huge not only in size, but heart and spirit too, touching all those he met. Always drew a crowd when out in public, and often cars would stop and take pictures of him. A true star. I loved him and miss him.

  • I have a brindle female Mastiff. I have 2 other dogs that I own and love as well. However, there is something special about my Mastiff. There is no breed like them. Sincerely, my heart aches for you and this loss. The video shows how special Diesel was to you both. We have to enjoy every day we have with these gentle giants as they never are able to stay with us as long as we would like them to.

  • @dnellnelson - I know what you mean. I have an Italian mastiff and a new English mastiff since Diesel's passing. There is just something special about the temperament and personality of the English that cannot be described. It must be experienced. Enjoy your girl, I will enjoy my new EM Rufus! He is four months now and amazing. Thanks for your comments.

  • What beautiful memories you have...he was so lovely. He will be waiting for you "this side of Heaven...at Rainbow's Brigde", so you can both cross it together into eternity.

  • @vtvargo - What a wonderful comment! Thank you very much. I do hope someday I can see Diesel again. I feel connected at the soul with him.

  • What a Star he was!! I know it won't replace him it never does but will you be getting another dog like him?? The reason I ask is when I lost mine, the house just did not seem right with out him around so just had to get another one, with in a few weeks. The strangest thing is, the new pup followed the exact route as my old boy when he was alive and did the same things like he been here before! I am convinced my boy old boys still around guiding him..

  • @jjgonzalez30 - Aw. I like to think that this video is a tribute to ALL dogs lost by dog owners. Diesel was special to me and those who knew him, but the feeling of loss is something that all dog owners can relate to. While it can be sad to watch, I hope you could see the joy and happiness Diesel brought to the world.

  • @GunznGear - I completely agree! You cannot return the volume or intensity with which these mastiffs love you. Special breed indeed. Sorry about Gabriel. I know how hard losing Diesel was for me, so can appreciate you sharing your story with me. Hope Sarge is well! My new EM Rufus is 4 months old now! He's going to be a monster size!

  • @Alana7beauty - Enjoy Draco! He will bring you much joy. Diesel was special and is very missed. Thank you for your nice comments.
