Faeries (Brian Froud Animated Special) Part three of three

Part three: Conlusion of the story.

I loved this animated special as a kid. Faeires is about a boy named Oisin that finds himself in the realm of magic folk who need his help in defeating the King's evil Shadow that is draining their powers.

One thing I like about this cartoon is that the characters are based on the Faeire books of Brian Froud. Who also helped design the muppet creatures for Jim Henson's films The Dark Crystal and the Labyrinth. If you ever seen Froud's books, you will note how the special followed Froud's designs to the letter.

Thank you, for posting this cartoon. I remember back when I was around 6 that I saw the commercial for it on my riki tiki tabi video. For years it has crossed my mind but I couldn't remember the title. Thank you again for posting it. ^ ^

I first saw this cartoon in 1988. My mom bought it at Gemco along with Rumplestiltskin. I love these cartoons till this day. I still think of the music and the songs from both videos. Thank you very much for posting this video and the other parts.

Ah this brings back memories of prime time hand drawn animated specials! An art form that seems nearly extinct in this country. I feel nostalgic for that xerox machine ink outline that is faithful to the pencil drawings of the animater! Now computers can copy the pencil drawings but the 3d cgi has replaced these hand made specials! The voices of Hans Conried and June Foray are also a delight!
