@JWM0001 the same clicking sound happens on my carry. i fix it by wiggling the small wire going into the back of the starter. Mine also used to overheat but that turned out to be a bad temp sensor so my fan never turned on.

thermostat found in the cooling system. Starter may also have a problem.

I've got a Carry and need help with a starting problem. An inidicator light suggests its overheated. I turn the key and get power to turn lights and wipers and radio and such, but the engine doesn't crank, it only clicks once. Last time this indicator happened, the truck really was overheated but later started up after cooling down. The indicator is a rectangle with heat waves coming off the top at the top of the dash board. Ideas on root cause?
