Quiznos Fox Business News

Quiznos, a company that is known for suing and being sued by their franchisees more then any other chain out there, in 2006 wrongfully terminated contracts with hundreds of their franchisees. In the majority of those cases, the Franchisees just took their lickings and let themselves be "fined" by Quiznos. Why? Because it is not easy for a mom and pop business to go up against a huge corporation. One couple however, with the help of a couple of a couple of very dedicated lawyers, took on this billion dollar company and beat them in court. Here is the Fox News coverage about their win against Quiznos. Quiznos still says they did nothing wrong even though the Judge called them "schizophrenic and confused" in his ruling and came close of contempt of court charges against them for lying under oath.

I'm glad the couple won, obviously, but what a colossal waste of everyone's time and money! Why did it ever have to come to this in the first place?? There is something horribly wrong with a lot of corporate America, and if this doesn't prove it, I don't know what does.

I have considered allowing Quiznos to rent a building I have on the beach (prime location), and even thought of buying the franchise myself. After doing a lot of research on the company, I found it is not worth it. A large percentage of owners have their franchises up for sale at any given time. The remainder are working hard to just break even. Who needs it?
