I have talked to 5 plus 7 bolt dsmers. non of them have experienced crank walk. i have two 2g's that have never walked. so wtf? 1g's lag/top end. 2g touqe. whatever you like better.
you all sound like a bunch of girls...look at it this way we all drive dsm who gives a flying fuck what body style or motor mods you have you like the car you drive because its your i have a 2g and guess what i love the thing to death big deal it has a 7 bolt that doesnt mean its not dsm at least its not a 420a
i am aware that 92.5 are when they went from 1GAs to 1GBs i know all engines CAN crankwalk but 7 bolt 4g63s were more prone to it when you started modding them because of the way they were manufactured, and the engine i was going to get had 390s hence why i was going to get 450s for it. doesnt matter now as i have ditched that project for my 89 mustang GT
450s are stock unless you have an auto then they are 390s and if you have that much are flowing get 650s or at least 550s.. and u do know that 1gs did have 7bolts after late 1992.. the 6 blots crankwalk too and so can every motor so dont bring up the 7 bolts
oh and as to my mods i'm not looking to be pushing more than 17-18 PSI out of the turbo i put in there which will be a big 16g W/ bigger intake piping and an EVO III exhaust manifold and o2 housing leading to a 3" turbo back exhaust, i'm looking to put in 450cc injectors etc. so yeah i know my DSMs
actually i know a bit about DSMs i haven't started my build yet not until i get my engine swap i'm not trying to be boosting an 18 year old N/A 4G63 and it's got high compression pistons. you can track my progress if you want it's in my videos you should subscribe
I love how everyone talks about the 7 bolt. Usually noobs who know little to nothing about DSM's will bring that up. You probably still have a stock intercooler and run 20 psi on an uncrushed bypass valve.
i could beat people in my sucky civic too but when I'm done with my 1G build it'll be waaay faster than that thing was. also from the factory 2Gs do suck they were redesigned 1GBs and they were heavier, not to mention the dreaded 7 bolt 4G63.
