how far are you casting with that 3oz?
-
I would Go with the braided. If you wanna do this kind of stuff, you need the thin braided for more line capacity. I think 60 lb braided is equivalent to 20 lb mono. Also I think your pole might be too heavy. I love the Penn you have. Can't afford one so I got the 6500 ss

I would title this.. "no chance!"

maybe about 50 yds. I'm old and weak. Younger guys get 100+yds with 100# braid

Should I mount the camera on my hat? Is that how you did it?

@Budday671 yes, on my hat, but I use my Xtreme Sportcap. Very snug and secure fit. They can be ordered off my web site.

if any one can help me. i'm new to fishing and i just bought a new Penn battle btl6000 and still never put line on it. I was wondering if i should put mono line or braided line. im gonna be doing a lot of dunking with it ontop of my 10" big water ugly stick.

@KarmagraphyBM I don't dunk anymore, but main thing is to have a line size that won't bust you or your equipment when you need to break your stuck line.

Howzit whitey what do you suggest on a 1.5 oz lure setup. what size line do i use and do i put like a shock line pls help. thanks

@MrKahai Shock leader is a good idea. I might have had slightly more of a chance on this one here. You gotta use a specialized knot that casts thru the guides nicely. I need to start doing this. The FG knot seems to be the one to use, then go to an Albright or something that joins the bite line. My set up that I just love for the 1.5 is a 10'6" pole from Island Rod Wrap at McCully Bikes with a Stella 5ksw loaded with 40# PowerePro. Puts lure so far out there it's scary. ;)
