Attendees at the 2010 George Washington Ball dance "Mr. Vosteen's Fancy," which was recently devised by the Williamsburg Heritage Dancers' Performance Ensemble in honor of Louis and Annette Vosteen, bastions of the local ECD community. The tune is an arrangement of a bit of old quadrille music called "L'Annette."

The music here is played by the Legacy Trio: Marty Taylor, Stephen Hickman, and Lynne Mackey.

The George Washington Ball is held annually in Williamsburg, Virginia.

  • Who is author of the music and where can i find it ?

  • @muscasket The music is a slight variation on "L'Annette," which was published c. 1820 in Simonet's "Fashionable Parisian Quadrilles." The devisors of this dance reworked the music to fit the dance.

  • I would love to see them dance to Portsmouth Point by Walton

  • This was a great dance.

  • I was there. Great video. Unfortunately I didn't dance this one. Do you have more?

I always wished someone would post this dance on Youtube. It's always so much fun. And this ball room was the best.
