Students are given an equation and an "x" value. Students then walk up or down to their new "y" value. Students form a straight line.
California Algebra 1 Standard 6.0: Students graph a linear equation and compute the x and y intercepts (eg graph 2x plus 6y equals 4). They are also able to sketch the region defined by linear inequality (eg sketch the region defined by 2x plus 6y is less than 4).
