The song "Woodstock" was composed by Joni Mitchell, one of the greatest female singer-songwriters ever. She wrote the song (so it is written) while the festival was happening and she could not be there. Yes, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young are fabulous too - anyway it´s Joni I´m bowing to today. But I dedicate this video to my mother who is dead for 20 years now and who would have loved to be a part of this.
And we shouldn´t forget the men and women who made this possible: Special thanks to Artie Kornfeld, Michael Lang, Max Yasgur (1919--1973) and YES, to half a million people who were there!! :-D
