For the most part my hospital birth was pretty great, until they told me I could no longer get out of bed because the baby's heart rate wasn't exactly what they wanted to be seeing... So that lead to me not progressing as fast as they wanted, then I had to have pitocin. So pretty much everything I didn't want to happen happened lol well I was able to avoid a c section thank god. I believe the next child I have will be a home birth as well! I really like your videos they are so informative.

When we decide to have children, if it is in a hospital. They better make my husband comfortable, because he is just as much of a part of the birth... And turning the camera off! I don't think so.

I cannot believe some of the people that comment on this. Ive been watching your videos since Jacelyn was about 2 months old. After 3 years TTC my husband and myself found out that were pregnant. I tell you what the first place I look for information is here. I respect Lucy and Joel. They are amazing parents. Some of you people need to educate yourselves a little more before you go criticizing others! Keep up the great work Lucy and Joel. Your so lucky to have two beautiful children.

Whatr is TTC?????? I'd like to follow these vids...im a new student midwife so am very interested :)

the hospital doesn't "deliver a helathy baby" the mother does that all by herself with the support of great people.

my husband and I BOTH complained thorughout our hospital birth.
take a first aid course and have a midwife in attendance, you can resuscitate your child at home just fine.

well my husband DID care about his comfort, because he didn't feel that he could be an appropriate support for me if he wasn't comfortable and happy.
It isn't thinking about options that is so much the point, it is KNOWING your options, and a lot of people are not even aware of their options, don't know their rights.
our hospital birth was HORRENDOUS and dangerous, our homebirth was blissfu and wonderful.
WOW, Im a new husband/father and I did not care if I had a chair to sleep on or not. My WIFE/CHILD were the MOST important people in that situation, my comfort was not an option. Our MIDWIFE was great, maybe you two dumb asses should have thought about your options before getting knocked up. What does your husband have a 3rd grade education? He sounds like it the gift shop was closed at 3 am. It should have been open.

Well I'm sorry you don't care, and I"m sorry your wife doesn't care about you either. Having a new child isn't JUST about the mother/child, and shouldn't be. I'm guessing ur not a 'hands on' Dad though and that's why u don't care. So southern folks sound uneducated? We planned our childs birth, we tried to conceive her for months. Again, Thank you. And God Bless, we'll pray for your jealousy and anger.

Another kid I am going to have to pay taxes for... there should be a law or "business" against you freaks having children.

Taxes? R u serious? We paid cash for our son's birth, well over 5gs. Ur forgetting welfare doesn't cover home births. Bur ur educated enough to know that right? lmao

You are right; the hospital should stop and applaud him (loser husband) for doing something ever father does, wait he went a step further and complained about it the whole time....
Here is an Idea have your next child at home and when something goes wrong and you DO need a doctor dont call 911 let your welfare child die, cause you sure cant resuscitate it on your own.... LOOSERS......

We did have our next child at home, and it was a million times better than the previous experience at hospital in every aspect possible.
