A New Year's Gift!
Conrail Shared Assets train WPFC-81 heads southbound on the Vineland Secondary in a very heavy, wind driven snowstorm with Blizzard like conditions at times. Norfolk Southern GP40-2 (Conrail painted) #3026 is at the helm with NS GP38-2 #5287 trailing.
The short train is en route to Woodbury Heights, NJ to transfer carloads to the storage tracks and returns to Camden's Pavonia yard with light power. Train was filmed passing through the numerous grade crossings in Gloucester City, NJ.
This was a very lucky catch as Conrail shut down operations for the snowstorm shortly after this video was filmed. The snowstorm of December 19th, 2009 ended up being Philadelphia's second largest snowstorm on record. I have several other video's from the snowstorm that will be posted soon. I could not ask for more, Conrail, snowstorm and a wonderful Leslie RS3L!
Thanks for watching! Please take a second to comment and rate, I appreciate it!
