In her defense, she was probably a little desperate for some audience reaction. You can hear some pause-moments where they didn't get laughs, so maybe she was just compensating for an unresponsive crowd.
No kidding! I just stumbled upon this. (Who is dkrefrain???) I sure wish I had gotten your feedback during rehearsal. Wow. Glad I chose a life *outside the theater. :)
