  • looks like a telesquirt to me. Is this a underfunded dept? Cause no offense that thing is a piece of junk. JMO. KCK really nevers lets our trucks get older than 10 yrs old.

  • uh no not really, currently where in the process of replacing this truck with a bigger newer 1 and where getting a new engine for station 2

  • baby ladder?

  • idn its a 55 footer if thats what ur asking

  • GREAT VIDEO mate... Is there only 3x crew on this 55ft ladder truck.?

Do you guys ever had "Live Fire Drills"

Here in South Africa (Johannesburg) they want to stop the Life Fire Drills at the Stations due to air pollution. But boy oh boy do I miss them.

  • theirs only 4 seats in the truck so theirs a 4 man crew not 3 but we had like 10 guys so we took shifts and yea we do live burns and stuff

  • @BakupAlarmIsPow3rcal you must be a volunteer firefighter?

  • @KCKFD6 let me guess, a volunteer department?

  • What kind of Ladder Truck drops hose lines?!?!?!?! Hahaha, nice video!!

  • that was cool that old LR fire truck has the old jumper seat speaking of an old fire truck springfield mo station has an old fire truck with a jumper seat

  • @drummerdude2295 yea that belt he grabs at 1:26 has a large clip on it he hooks on the rail when he gets to the top

  • why is there a fog nozzle on that master stream...that's pretty pointless

  • way to run up the ladder....geez

  • when yall get there on top of the ladder are u straped in somehow

  • Nice truck, and nice 8v92 also!

  • My dept does 4000+ runs per year. That being said, we replace our apparatus every 10yrs. It's not a waste of money if you get alot of work out of them in the 10yrs that they are in service. Also we don't get rid of the apparatus unless they are really beaten up. Normally there taken out of service and used as spares. I would agree that if your dept goes on less then 3000 runs per year theres no reason to have to replace and apparatus every 10yrs. All depends on usage per apparatus.
