Chossudovsky: UN withdrawal PR to demonize Syrian govt

To Syria now, where the UN is pulling out its staff amid growing concern about the violent crackdown by government forces against demonstrators. It comes as activists say over 30 people have been killed since troops seized control of the northern port city of Latakia. But, director of the Center for Research on Globalization - Michel Chossudovsky - says the hype around the Syrian crisis is being orchestrated from abroad.

Chossudovsky is a liar. All journalist are expelled from Syria. Syrian Dictator Assad and His Father has been ruling the country for more than 40 years under emergency Law. Hafez Al Assad came to power with the military coup . The economy of Syria is very bad; So far about 4000 protesters have died. The truth will come out eventually but lie will cause a great damage in the short run on Syrian people. There are hundreds of videos on Syrian protest and government crackdown.

Anyone who can read Arabic is no doubt that the protests are 90% peaceful (dancing, chanting etc), and that the many government intelligence agencies and thugs are terrorising their own compatriots. Asked whence the proof of his allegations, Chossudovsky says the proof is 'between the lines' of media in Lebanon. Er, what kind of proof is that. Even if there are a few weapons making it into the hands of the protestors, that would be nothing compared to the systematic repression of the regime

Where do they find these people? This guy is claiming that Syrian protesters are not civilians but actually armed mercenaries.

Just look at the videos. The protests are made up of thousands of peaceful demonstrators.

I agree that things will trend towards violence since Assad has decided to mow down civilians using tanks (all of this is on video), but this guy in Montreal is lying. The protesters are civilians.
