@Zomgwtfbbqt actually, pound for pound, onagers are much more powerful than trebuchets, just look at yankee siege, it uses 11,000 pounds of counterwieght, is 60 feet tall and throws a maximum of about 2200-2400 feet. than theres the onager chucky 2 that is about 15-20 feet tall and threw 3000 feet
no, onagers and trebuchets both have slings, the bucket catapults are usually called "catapult" or "mangonel". The difference between an onager and trebuchet is that an onageris powered by a torsion spring, and a trebuchet works with a droppig counterweight
@Xbox360481 I guess it depends on what you are throwing. Generally Onagers are used for smaller payloads than Trebuchets.
