No they are Free/Libre OS Software.
They develop for their own "habitat" to put it that way.

These are Open: WorkBench and BeOs based systems, Gnome and Kde type systems, Menuet Based Systems, ReactOs is Windows Based.

Yah dude, you didn't mention BSD, and also GNU/Linux that you mentioned and BSD that you didn't mention. They work as a community too you know, there free software systems too not just openSolaris.
