I would say Giga Baby bowser would be a 10/10 in Yoshi's Island standards.
I never saw taptap up on the flower's ledge.
You can also stun Baby Bowser by shooting an egg while he's in the air, following it up with a swift ground pound.
You can let him reach you and still win. However, you will still lose in a way because since he already destroyed the platforms, he will just fall in an infinite abyss. If you do it quick enough, you can see Yoshi float his way to a platform to jump to the stork.

On the gba version, I played it while I was in florida last thanksgiving, and I BEAT DA GAME! OVER 7 YEARS! I was so excited fighting giga baby bowser that the fight took me 2 tries. (I was frantic, yea)
