i don't understand the "free tibet" movement, the Dalai Lama signed it away to the Chinese and now does not want independence yet everyone things he's wonderful. Many people want democracy in Tibet, yet the Tibetan Govt In Exile do not have democracy themselves (who elected their political leader HHDL?). People talk about human rights, yet HHDL abuses the rights of his teacher's followers and other Shugden Buddhists. What progress has actually been made since 1959? NONE. Why?

Tibet is a political entity. It is a human based composition of the mind. The humans that compose the Tibet identity, they can free themselves also if they apply the teachings of the Buddha: non-attachment, compassion, loving-kindness. Although, lots of Tibetains are not practicing Buddhists, in a heart of compassion. Lots of them entertain the reaction. Tibet will be free faster when the Tibetains help themselves with the appropriate wisdom, such is how the Dalaï-Lama himself tells them.

Excellent point, but perhaps we should also require of those who compose the China identity to free themselves of attachments to the human based composition of the mind called Tibet.
