  • Revive the UDF in a model aircraft!!!

  • Forget the F-18. I want the UDF!

  • @84Dirtboy GE incorporated a lot of the technology from the unducted fan designs into their GEnx engines.

  • lije a turboprop for me is better a jet engine or a turbofan like at 1:16

  • Anyone else noticed that that plane has conventional turbine engine on the other side? o.O

  • An awesome concept introduced in early 80's. most fuel efficient and best performing engine! should be brought into production. technology has changed since 82, just think of the overall performance now.

  • @superskullmaster

You don't have a clue. This is what GE Aviation is planning for some of their future engines.

  • Fly past at 160 knots clean configuration?

  • Thanks for adding this video. I was there and now I can direct people to this moving and audible image. I always say, it was no louder than a small helicopter.

  • @nurvus nah not really, i really don't know much about this. it just looked steeper than most airport takeoffs.
