Pearl sitcom, Season 1, Episode 18, Part 1 - Rhea Perlman, Malcolm McDowell, guest starring Ted Danson.

Please note: This is the second episode of a two-episode story arc. The first episode in this story arc would not work correctly for me; no matter what I did, the audio would not sync. However, there is a summary in the first part of this episode that should fill you in just fine.

"Pearl" was a short lived sitcom that aired on network TV during the 1996-1997 season that starred Rhea Perlman and Malcolm McDowell, as well as a young Lucy Liu, Dash Mihok, Carol Kane and Kevin Corrigan.

Synopsis: Pearl (Rhea Perlman) is a mature woman from modest up-bringings. When she realizes she missed out on a lot, she decides to go back to college, in spite of her grown son's protests. She makes a bunch of new, but weird, friends and is constantly in conflict with her snob philosophy professor (Malcolm McDowell).

These episodes were taken from an old VHS tape. The video and audio quality are not great, however, these episodes are the ONLY copies of this show available anywhere on the internet. Enjoy!

  • @madlyderanged That sucks. The person who owned his stuff could have made a pretty penny off those DVDs. Did you find it on eBay or just a random internet search?

  • @madlyderanged many of them were available on aol video about 3 yrs ago. I just typed "Pearl pynchon perlman mcdowall" into google. But only accessable from within the US. I've tried for months to get them but no chance from outside the US

  • Thank you so much for upload!! I've been searching several episodes for more than 12 yrs now! One of the greatest sitcoms of all time Rhea & Malcolm made an ideal couple

  • So true. I've searched for copies of this show without success. I found one gentleman that had the entire series on DVD, but by the time I contacted him I was informed that he had died and his stuff had just been thrown out.
