More than 70 retired military ships are anchored northeast of San Francisco in Suisun Bay. Most of them have been there for decades and are leaching toxic substances into the water. While a few have historic value, the rest are in line for scrapping - a process that environmentalists hope to speed up with a new lawsuit.

  • i think they should keep the ships there

  • The ones with historic value should be restored and the ones that arent should be scrapped IMO there are three ships there that are the last of thier kind

  • If plans get the go-ahead, then more ships could be broken down. The parts can be recycled into parts that would finish up the new eastern span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge pretty much ahead of schedule.

  • Sanctimonious, smarmy, condescending NRDC.

  • YT's new video player sucks!
