@THCmuzicalmasta Yes, you are right. I also know it is for preventing it from spinning without oil, but is is often more complicated to make people understand it in that manner, and simply saying "to let it cool down" usually works better, although inaccurate :)

its not about letting the turbo cool but rather to let the turbo wind down while oil is still being fed to it ,

with the engine cut and turbo still spinning it is running dry , premature bearing and oil seals failiure are more lkley to happen in them conditions !

launch control allows you to pull off @ 30000 rpm instead of 850 rpm allowing you to get a fast take off from the lights or stand still position ! it does not make the car go faster in general ! just pull of faster ! LOL.

@videoking85 You need to get just the right amount of weel spin for maximum acceleration off the line, the laungh control knows what he is doing! Damage to the tire but cant have them all:)
