Just played this misson. Fired 3 Torpedos against the Nelson. Just one hit and exploded in the armory. With the Nelson down, the Bismarck could destroy the HMS King George V and the 2 Destroyers. In the end, my Untersee-Boot and the Bismarck self where the last swimming things there. It was so awesome

the luftwaffe did in fact dispatch some aircraft but didn't do much good, they also lost a few planes

@DDGFAN it's Requiem For A Dream, beautiful song.

Love this video.
Love the idea. Type XXI could surely have changed things. I have a question about the music. Which songs were mixed to make this? It's not just, "Am I not merciful".
Please resond.
Thanks, DDG Fan

Your Spot on, ! she needed the Luftwaffe,
and there was Luftwaffe available, both from France and Norway

@Fotistou94 Destroyer and Cruiser screens won't matter when you're within enemy carrier striking distance. Bismarck needed Luftwaffe cover during its escape.

The song is Requiem for a dream and it isn't Bismark... its the Bismarck :D

@hausnummerleuchte Indeed Bismark was escorted by Prinz Eugen but they split up and Bismark was left alone, also a battleship like Bismark should also be escorted by destroyers and cruisers(Prinz Eugen) .I know that was difficult for Germany because Kriegsmarine had few warships but if Bismark was escorted efficiently then i don't think the british would succeed in sinking Bismark...
There was a well known joke among Allied forces during fight in Europe after D-Day.
"When English bombard - Germans hide"
"When Germans bombard - English and Americans hide"
"When Americans bombard - Everybody hide"

Bismark didn't sink from torpedoes, the crews opened the kingstone valves, that's a historical fact. That ship held up superbly well. Not only that, they also had internal communication working and they played a song on it as it was about to go down. This is first source account, from the german sailors who survived. So all this debate who sent the last torpedo is pointless. The truly last nail was the swordfish attack that jammed the rudder.
