The relationship thing - it can be all kinds. A friend, str8 or gay, a best friend, str8 or gay. A chick - they luv gay guys because they know you luv them for who they are, while us dudes are usually after sex.

It took me about 1-2 yrs, but now I can almost always start a conversation with most people when they are, eg standing in line waiting.
Just gotta find the opening line. be sensitive to whether they think u r legit or trying to pick them up.
