This is short clips of almost 15 minutes worth of video I shot of a wedge tornado near Chickasha, OK on the afternoon of May 24, 2011. This was part of the huge tornado outbreak and has portions of the tornado from a nice cone, to a fat stovepipe to a massive wedge tornado.

May 24, 2011 was an intense tornado outbreak in Oklahoma with multiple wedge tornadoes touching down from multiple supercells.

I am a storm chaser based in Norman, OK. You can visit my website at http://www.benholcomb.com for more information about me and full accounts from my past storm chases including video and pictures.

  • @lootordie I cannot believe people liked your comment. Give us a break with the global warming crap. Oklahoma has had ef5s since they have been recording them. Educate yourself on the weather of the south central US.

  • there still are many more ef0, ef1s and ef2's than the bigger ones, its just unfortunate that they happened to go through more built areas in the past 2 seasons. Also wasn't this last season an unusually active one, something that happens once in a lifetime usually?

  • BEAST.

  • @lootordie If there ever was an F6, it would be almost impossible to determine the difference between the damage of that and F5 damage.

  • @lionsforlyons wrong, scientists theorize of two f5s meeting and forming an f6, with winds faster then the speed of sound

  • @Chev427BB appreciate that. now i know. thank you :)

  • @yamahonkawazuki The e stands for enhanced, this enhanced fujita scale is more accurate than the original

  • @Chev427BB i know. id say eventually would there be an f6?if there were limits put on a 5. but i wonder somethign else. used to be called f0- through f5. ( in referece to dr fujita) now is ef0 through ef5. wonder why the e?

  • its not the size of the tornado its the wind speed

  • @lootordie how about an F 10?
