As this is MOSTLY a guide to selecting the proper foundation for your own skin, much of the information in this video can be applied to any number of cosmetic brands.

hii im using oil control lotion by mac i have combo skin but my skin is still oily after i use studio fix foundation. btw u used that mac gives u samples does dat apply only for foundation and concealer?

@TheSlb789 i don't know what policy is but the stores i've been to, it applies to everything that they can easily do samples of (eyeshadow, eyeliner or lipliner - for example - are kind of hard to do samples of).

@dustyohunter Dusty HELP!! I'm still uber confused about NC NW. I have pink undertones, very pink. And I thought I should use a yellowish foundation to cancel it out, but they always tell me to use the pink toned foundations. What are your thoughts????

@happybadfish the reason they are saying that is because mac foundations are formulated to work with your undertones - and yellow doesn't counteract pink. they would tell you to look at something with a green tint (there are some primers that will work) if they sold something like that. you'll still have to just try stuff out though. nw foundations dry down to yellow on my skin - i have to custom blend mac foundations to work for my skintone if i want an exact match. hope that helps! :)

Hi,

I have a problem with choosing the right foundation.. My face is pink undertone and lighter than my neck. (it's actually only slight difference, but because i have short neck and my chin is more towards than my temple. They looked 2 different shade because of the shadow)

And my neck is more a yellow undertone, and my body is pink undertone..

So, if i match the color to my face, i look like wearing a mask.

But if i match to my neck, i look very dull.

Any suggestion? Thanks love..

I love Mac's return policy unfortunelly I live in Scandinavia and they don't change/take back anything. Yes I'm siting of a lot of foundation/powders/conselours than don't work for me.

@TheSlb789 I have that same skin type and I use studio fix due to the oily skin problem I have going on. I found a good product that MAC gave me a sample and I bought! Its called MAC Prep and Prime Skin refined zone treatment . This stuff is wonderful if you have oily skin, well at least it works for me and it helps to keep my foundation on longer. Try it! Also try MAC pro long wear concealer with the studio fix, they work great together!
