One of the volunteers on the trail said that the towpath will be repaired by spring--barring disaster. Hopefully, the detour will no longer be retired. It was my least favorite part of the trip.

Judge Dougla should be commended for his forsight in saving this wonderful piece of history that is so valuble now as a walking and bike path.
