Gregorian hymn chant of Roman Catholic Christian Church in honour of Mary, Mother of God. It is also a common prayer to the Virgin Mary; usually recited at the end of the rosary.

As a seminarian at Holy Apostles Seminary, Cromwell, CT, I was taught this in 1959.  It began each day at 6:30 mass and remains my favorite hymn to this day. Whenever I am troubled or have a problem sleeping, this beautiful chant brings me total peace. Thank you Mary - Salve Regina!
