It's good to hear this wonderful old classic sung just as a man would sing it. It was apparently written originally for a woman to sing. Many artists have recorded it and I like all the versions. Mac Wiseman has my favorite version as I have loved him for so many years. His unique voice and style make any song unforgettable. Thank you for posting this winner. - Paula

Love this song. I recently came across a web page that stated that it was written in the 1800's. Now I can't find that page again.
The original Carter Family recorded it back around 1928 or 1930. More recently, Martina McBride has done a great job with it.
