Investigation of hostile robot activity in the harbor area is Gillian's first assignment. Fellow J.U.N.K.E.R. agent Gibson heads off into storage building #2, while Gillian is left to repel the threats in building #1. Small, insignificant metal creatures... or so it seems.
The omni-presence of enemy robots in this game never gets a thorough explanation. They are not like Snatchers: Snatchers are more human-like, even without their artificial skin. Then, what are they? Older versions of Snatchers? Their minions? Or are they a whole different threat? Update: I was wrong. File 11 contains a clue to the purpose of these creatures. /watch?v=BFgwl_IIjTg
This video introduces the fighting system, which is a turn-based first-person shooter. Depending on one's inventory, a whole range of handguns, grenades, mines and other specials can be unleashed upon an enemy. Depending on the targeted area different damage is done. For instance, targeting eyes or radar damages the enemy's visual capablities, making it harder for it to target you or dodge your bullets.
Every succesful round of fighting gives you experience points for defense, strength, speed, etcetera. Like the usual RPG. It also increases your gun strength and provides you with income.
Thanks for skipping the grinding but stills howing us the combat system... looks really interesting! Wish there were more sci-fi rpgs...
