@MeBenHalpin actually there is a site called expat shield that you can download and get the bbc iplayer and itv player over here...it is kind of like a curtain so it looks to them like you are in the UK but is properly legal and I get the soaps as soon as you do when those upload....I am really into what is going on in corrie and eastenders right now and am soo hooked on downton abbey....so if they took it away it would devastate me lol...steptoe and son actually act, unlike the usa version. lol

@bettypro Never seen proper episodes of Sanford And Son, but it sounds along the same line's of Steptoe And Son, guess i would be little biased towards Steptoe, as i've grown up on that, but im sure Sanford and Son is funny and popular in its own right. Are the soaps up to the modern day then in US, or are you couple of years behind, repeat wise?

@MeBenHalpin I was a very young kid when Sanford and Son came out, but watched a rerun last nite, 2 black men in a junk yard with one liners, dont get me wrong, at the time I guess it was funny compared to the other crap we were offered , which, by the way, WERE ALL bad knockoffs of English sitcoms, I LOVE coronation street and eastenders, run home from work to watch them on the expat shield that allows us to view them same day...wish I had seen them 20 years ago!

@bettypro Pity it couldn't have been aired over in the USA, heard Sanford And Son, was fairly decent show, back in its day though. What do you think of our old soap opera's then?, there pretty garbage now, not what they were 20-30 years ago.

@MeBenHalpin wouldve been higher had the BBC shared with the USA...but noooooo, we had to live thru SANFORD AND SON and then got to see the real deal 30 FREAKING YEARS LATER.....i wouldnt even be getting to know coronation street, eastenders, inbetweeners or any thing like that if the BBC had thier way!!!!
