Minecraft - Redstone Customizable Marquee Display

A redstone scrolling text display / marquee which you can have show any combination of letters A-Z as well as a space bar with a 5 lever binary input area.

So, anyone have any ideas for something else I can make?

@rumikosan90 Thank you! Total time building this would probably be ~10-15 hours, counting planning time and drawing out the design. I split it up into two days, because I have no life at all. And actually, I'm just an average 12 year old kid :P.

Its kinda sad that 99% of minecraft players won't understand the thinking and efforts behind this. You have a 100 views on this video and 50.000 on a chicken canon.

@xfactor330 Yeah, and theres a lot of people who make things way better than some of my best things, but they barely get any views. A lot of those videos deserve way more recognition. I'm still happy where I am though. A decent amount of subscribers, and a lot of which who actually care about what I do, and always watch my videos. I do wish that some of my redstone creations had higher views instead of the chicken cannon though.

And I will once I think of something. :P Got a few ideas.

Very nice. I just made a display that can create 8 letter words with only a single lever to input them. The entire machine is only controlled with 1 lever.

However, I would like to learn how letters are "injected" into a group of repeaters like this to make a scrolling marquee. Any tips?

@elseagoat The way I did that was very mediocre. All I did was use timing. It just checked if a certain letter was supposed to display, and if so, activate each row with proper timing. So for example, if I wanted to make it show a rectange that looked like this:

[][][] Row 1

[]-[] Row 2

[]-[] Row 3

[]-[] Row 4

[][][] Row 5

I would first send power to every row, a delay, sending power to 1&5, delay, and then send power to every row again.

You over did it theres a much simpler way than like 1000000 redstone it only needs 2 stacks of redstone and 3 stacks of repeaters
