omg, let's be honest here... just make sure you keep the TANK CLEAN! A good filter is needed too. They don't need to be putting antibiotics on turtles,that's just ridiculous! There's something called antibiotic resistance thanks to the winners who come up with these ideas!

Samenella in baby t. sure, but if you keep your tank clean you should be okay,I work in a kitchen, when ever I get a cut or cut my nails, I make sure i use gloves when cleaning my tank...p.s dont kiss ur t...lol =P

dogs can get salmonella too !

depends on what species, red ear sliders and yellow belly sliders is like 10" to 14" and they can live to 40years+
