The timeless lesson of Robert Heinlein's classic book "Door Into Summer": when a man loves a small girl, he will cryonically freeze himself for twenty years. When he wakes up, she will be an adult, and they can finally bang.
Yeah, Heinlein wasn't really into sexual mores at all - see also "For Us, The Living", "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", and "To Sail Beyond the Sunset". Buuuut, it could be worse, he could have been like good ol' L. Ron and we wouldn't have to wonder.
Several of Heinlein's novels show adult men forming "romantic" relationships with underage girls: "Door Into Summer," "Have Spaceship, Will Travel," "Time for the Stars," and even "Time Enough for Love." I have to wonder if Heinlein molested adolescent girls and was never caught and punished for it.
