The Power of 10 is a big commitment with a big goal. During 2010, ten enthusiastic Christchurch athletes will cycle 10,000 kilometres and enter 10 races each, in an effort to collectively raise $100,000 to donate between Project K Canterbury and Rotary International.

What: The Power of 10 inaugural annual cycling fundraiser.

When: Throughout 2010. The cyclists will be training and entering races throughout the 2010 calendar year.

Where:Christchurch based athletes. Races will be throughout New Zealand

Who: Christchurch residents; Terrence Courtney, Jeannie Blakemore, Kathryn Ward, Colin Pearson, Andy Baynes (plus five more riders still to be recruited).

Why: The Power of 10 is a community initiative to raise $100,000 to donate to Project K Canterbury and a Rotary sponsored African village in Tanzania.

Other:Suggestion to media; Colin Clapp and the riders are available for interviews.
