In this tutorial, we show you how you can use Songsmith to come up with the chords and a basic accompaniment, then use a pro audio multitrack/production environment like Ableton Live, Sonar, Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, GarageBand, etc. to import some of the MIDI tracks and play them with VSTi's, add real instruments (guitar in this case), re-record your vocals, and add effects to tkae your songs to the next level.

  • Congratulations. You've invented music from 1986.

  • @DJFriction Why?

  • Should I buy Songsmith or Pro tools?

  • very cool idea man. I have to download this.

  • @GREGCAST70 You don't understand, any good composer would know you make a song note by note. This has preset chords that are made to go along with your vocals, and we all know, VOCALS RUIN A SONG! So, it gives less control, and a shitty song, with diarrhea instruments.

  • i want you to stop what you are doing.

  • "Microsoft, huh? So it's pretty easy to use?" lol

  • This is ALL Really bad dude!. Your guitar tone is muddy and all noise. Too much distortion. Try pitch correction on your voice also. Your voice is also terrible. Apple seed - come on. Try chopping down the apple tree and setting fire to it and drinking its blood! Theres a song!

  • Oh God, this is bad...

  • Okay, I'm sorry. The chord progression is still terrible. It's not songsmith's midi sound that makes the songs terrible, it's the chord progressions that it pulls out of thin air.

    Sorry lol.
