Piano tutorial for "In Those Jeans" by Ginuwine. Very nice baseline and instrumental for the piano, and shouldn't take too long to learn.

  • i've been learnin this song on my own for the past two days, and i got to say, no disrespect, u really didnt hit the nail on the head in this tutorial

the song is in a minor key, and thats how i've been practicing it. in this tutorial, ur playin it in a major key which takes a lot away from the song. Also u miss some keys when it comes to the right hand (and left hand actually) during the chorus... once again, no disrespect

i may end up doing a video response to show u what i mean

  • I must say the song is in Gb Major/F#Major both are major. As I said in the tutorial, the pitch it's recorded in doesn't tune in at all to a real piano/keyboard. As for the notes and chords, I feel so confident about this tutorial, I can accompany Ginuwine on the keys, and he can do vocals for this song. If we want to just call the chords without the key sig involved, Gb, Bbmin, B Maj, rinse and repeat. Naturally, the keyboard can't capture many of the dynamic sounds of the song but close enough

  • i understand wut ur sayin. although i am not one to talk in the end because my rendition is not 100% correct, but i do still think the way i am practicing sounds a lot closer to the original song

i'll do my best to post a video response to this. it'll be very very brief

  • Fair enough man, it really isn't my song, it's just my translation of it, and I don't have a problem at all if you do a different spin on it.

  • Great Job. But the last chord u play in a verse comes before you play with your right hand

  • I like how simple how you kept it simple. I was just thrown off at the beginning when you said Bb instead Bbminor.

  • To be honest, this is actually a very good rendition considering that the original song uses a guitar. I tried to play that on the guitar (on youtube), and its rough. Good job.

  • The song uses a 1-3-4 progression, very ugly in theory but because we are in Gb Major/F# Major, we can get away with just about anything...

  • Very illegal progression, 1-3-4, perhaps it explains distinct sound...
