a short film and survey on the way humans learn how to be male and female. issues discussed. this was a class project based on communication and scholarly research. this is not a project i would have done on my own. i have to say that many people would like to refute this film with conjecture, but based if information is based on scholarly research, how can one refute this without their own research?

  • Excellent! Social Construct, no matter the category, is a very difficult topic to explain because so many people are quick to say "It isn't my fault." No one wants to take responsibility for affecting the actions of someone else, when in all truth, it is socialization that creates the ideas of good and bad, true vs. false, male to female, and so on. The key is to remember that no matter the study, the important thing is that you are thinking. Keep up the great work...

  • The gay thing nothaving a effect on kids is pc bullshit. That's a huge lie.

  • this is great ! really ..

I have to write my exam about this specific topic and your video helped me a lot.

    :) Thanks.

  • This was kind of difficult to watch. The music almost drowned out what you were saying, you guys were clearly reading off of cue cards or had tried to memorize a script, and you were talking much too slowly. If you ever get another assignment and chose to submit it in video format, try to do a good job on it next time.

  • that yoga backpack the kid has was dope!!!

  • title and registration...by death cab for cutie

  • what's the song at the begining of this video called. I like it a lot...

  • It's interesting that they alluded to the man bashing that is currently popular in the mass media. They mentioned the Simpsons and Family Guy. You could also put th King of Queens in that category.

  • @TheDragonGuy You hit the nail on the head. Gender roles are defintely socially constructed, but gender identity is another thing altogether - a distinction that is rarely made in these PC gender studies. If gender identity were socially constructed like gender roles are, it would be easy to re-socialize a transexual and it would be possible to do away with gender identity altogether. But what is really happening is a challenge to the social roles of men & women - not gender identity itself.

  • Not in my books!
