In School of Seven Bells music, a human element lurks behind a veil of technology and noise; Toby Holbrooks video for the Brooklyn trios Half Asleep follows suit, depicting real-life twin vocalists Alejandra and Claudia Deheza as earthbound beauties, while complicating their image through sped-up film, gauzy overlays, and brightly colored, weather-like disturbances. The clip conjures a sad, surreal feeling that sticks with you long after the images fade.

This song is simply perfect! The lyrics... the ambience... the voice... the voice tone... It's been on my playlists for months and I'm still to find it a flaw!
I think its inspired by a lucid dream, if you listen to chill music and slow your mind of chatter, eventually you can go into this state. The key seems to be awaken from our easily distracted mind. Try not to fall alseep, "half asleep"
Close your eyes, focus on any faint patterns, blobs etc notice how much the mind will talk, try to resist, and in time...
No drugs needed for this but Terence McKenna has more experiences.
yes it does not need drugs to appreciate this but sadly with some drugs (but which one?) it's often even more fantastic ...but well...the problem is the aftermath... the better is to listen to it ,most of the time, in a natural state... but once in a while...why not experiment !?...
whatever...the music is excellent wherever you are...
for the people who loved this song i think they will love ... the Ladytron "Tomorrow" music and video. but it's only for curious naturally
