Nobody will ever sing it better than steve perry. It was his song, he was the essence of the journey sound.

But the singer they have now, jeff scott soto, if you close your eyes you hear perry. Don't turn your back on journey because they have brought in an identical replacement.

Castronovo can sing, i love this video, but it just isn't the same.

Soto can hit all perry's notes, u might not like it but it's true. But that isn't soto singing there, its the drummer, deen castranovo. Not bad considering he isn't the lead singer.

Whatever the fans of SP or AP says, to me they are already a part of Journey's band. They did not compete to each other or try and persuade their own fans of who's the best between the two of them. The real winner here are the music that they sang (journey's songs) and the fans who are in-love with their songs no matter who's voice it is. Both are GREAT in their own time. Journey's songs will still live forever. I congratulate you Arnel for your success and more power to all your countrymen.

Steve Perry was classic Journey...and Deen Castronovo is absolutely amazing!

Deen should sing MORE often..what a beautiful voice.

i agree, he is an incredibly amazing drummer and singer, i think journey shouldve hired another drummer and keep deen on vocals, i dont hate arnel, i think he has alot of vocal comparissons to steve perry i think those two combined are truely amazing

Deen Castronovo is an amazing singer, and I truly believe that even Steve Perry would agree that so far, Deen is the one and only singer that has EVER done justice to the songs made famous by Steve's ethereal vocal abilities.
