A classic tune from the sixties which I think is often overlooked. I like the keyboard track on this.

I first got this album from my uncle when I was about 14. This was in the late 70's. I wondered "Does anybody listen to Iron Butterfly anymore?"

This was at the height of the disco and punk era when nobody listened to 60's rock anymore. The first two tracks on this album hooked me (Possession and Unconscious Power).

The riffs are neat, clean, and simple. The effects back then are rudimentary. They had to get a trippy sound using primitive equipment. I think they were ahead of their time.

  • Groovy sound!

I saw these cats on concert once, they're unbelieveable on stage. Thanks for the flashback.

  • @MilitaryAircraft101 blue cheer, sir lord baltimore, captain beyond, randy holden population ii, vanilla fudge, the stooges (not exactly psychedelic but they are pretty bad ass heavy rock band), mc5 (again, not exactly psych but a bad ass heavy rock band) and if u want modern bands with a similiar style of rock then i highly suggest u look up radio moscow and graveyard. Hope that helped.

  • @Slohand1993 Cheers for the heads up!

  • @MilitaryAircraft101 If you've never heard the album Disraeli Gears by Cream, you're in for a treat. Just order it online and put it on loop. I could listen to that album for days! Another one is Grand Funk Railroad. Check out their Live Album. Peace!!

  • Just got onto this band, starting to stray from the very mainstream psych, space and acid rock. These guys are amazing! Anyone got suggestions for bands I should look into? Cheers

  • @IntoxicatedPvP I had to go one year without using the word "I", went mute.

  • a true little-known classic-and great bass guitar line. Amazing energy in this song.

  • LSD is amazing

  • THIS album almost fell through the cracks sitting unreleased for 2 years . Always liked this song
