Hello Willa1980, It would have been cooler if you had made it autonomous so it wallks on it's own. About how much do one of the leg pieces cost? How long did it take to make? Want to make one out of colored acrylic someday. Maybe black......

just wanted to know.. could the same bot (or any of the other wind powered Jansen designs) have the same movement if it was walking on a frictionless surface?

The kinematics are not a result of the interaction with the ground. They are exactly prescribed.

what do you used for electronic?
i'm trying to do one like this but with sensors to let it moves where it wants :)

I got it from a pair of scissors and a piece of cardboard.... Actually I watched some of the movies here on youtube about this mechanism. And then: Trial + error....
