Greyhound Obedience Training

This is DeeDee, my greyhound, running through some of her obedience tricks. DeeDee is a retired racer, prior therapy dog, and current service dog in training. Enjoy! Oh, and excuse the boxes in the background - we just moved! :-)

The more obedient and lovely greyhounds on youtube the better! I don't have great videos of Barbie yet but she has all those tricks down pat and a few more. It is very easy when they are food motivated :)

@bendyfulable Yep! DeeDee's working on some new tricks as well. I never understood why people say greyhounds can't be trained - they're extremely intelligent dogs! Thanks for posting some of Barbie's tricks. I love seeing this type of thing!

@limbrooke83 Oh he loves his treats, and his ball. I'm finally able to get him to sit but I'm not sure he is learning the command at all. Hopefully in time he will.

@tommart123 Lol - If there's one thing ALL greys are good at, it's being stubborn! I always say they're too smart for their own good - they need a reason to do what you're asking them to do (other than you asking, lol!). Maybe Seb is best motivated by something else? DeeDee refused to sit on command until she saw me eating a piece of deli cheese. All of a sudden she stopped pestering me and when I turned around, she was sitting expectantly! I didn't even think she knew the command yet, lol! :-)
