  • ??where is my comment?

thank you so much for making this vid!!^^ helps a lot.. may i know why you have to use the leash?

  • The dog's reaction to the leash is usually very excited and positive... it means a walk! The first time I drop the leash by the crate, and when I reach in to the crate with the leash in my hand, I want Skeeter to stay in her sit position in the back of the crate when faced with this exciting prospect of a walk. When I put the leash on her and let her out of the crate, I'm standing on the leash to limit her ability to move around too much... makes it so she can't self reward outside the crate.

  • Doesn't want to come out of her crate does she?! Amazing training, well done!

  • When a friend saw this video she said I was going to have to pick up the crate and shake Skeeter out!

She finds her crate a very rewarding place to be!

    thanks for your positive comments.

  • I think this was only our second session.

  • Thanks for your comments. I've been trying to tape something each week. It's a really nice way to keep track of how well she's doing. I'm a huge fan of the crate games. I just need to move on now and go forward in the program.

I actually neglected to tape something, and I'm regretting it. Skeeter was afraid to go down my back stairs. It took me three days to shape her going down the stairs, and now she does it like a pro... and I'll never be able to go back and watch it. I'm kicking myself!

  • i see. appreciate it !

  • Aw, Skeeter's doing great!

  • Fantastic. How long did it take to get to this stage in your cage training?.

Looking forward to your next video.

  • Man - as soon as my first session was done - I wished I had taped it. It was like magic watching such a young pup actually move backward when the door was opened (my pup was 10wks!) Great job training and great job posting!
