  • i want to ask you some question because i am going to thailand the year:can i know are you using smartpass?

  • @jwmow It's very exciting you're going to Thailand this year! At the time I went several years ago, I only took a few trips, and did not use a smartpass at that time. I don't know what is currently the most common or convenient way to pay fares. Hope you can find a reliable source of this information elsewhere. Good luck, and have a great trip! =)

  • do thailand mrt use smartpass card for the BTS train

  • @jwmow I do remember we had to pay separate fares for the MRT and the BTS. The systems seemed to operated separately, at least at that time.

lol so far I haven't seen any better than Beijing Di Tie(Subway) only 30US cents for a single trip(unlimited travel time and distance). Frequent services, every 5 mins and every 2 mins in peak hrs.

Man I really miss the urban life and awesome MRT services, The Metro in Melbourne where I live is the worst Ive ever seen :(

  • @OneManTraveller Unfortunately, I haven't been to China yet. Thanks for the tip! It's great you've been on so many transit systems in different countries! Which are your favorites?

  • oh tq

  • @eqwrlksmdblk

lol have U been to China? Go to Beijing to take the No4 metro line, the voice there is even sweeter than this lol

  • @OneManTraveller Thank you so much for the translation! It's great that you know these Thai words! I love listening to the sound of Thai being spoken--it is so beautiful and relaxing. I could listen to these sounds all day long!

  • Sa Ta Nee means station

    Toh means next one

    Pai means arriving

    Is that making sense?

  • @jwmow They did not at that time, but I'm not sure what fare-collection system is in place now.
