This song is about the american soldiers in vietnam who carried the M-60 machine gun and they had a Bald eagle painted on their arm and the Closest thing to a bald eagle in vietnam was the chicken and they refered to them as Chicken men and when they saw the M-60 machin gun men coming they would say.
