Chaos theory is really about finding the underlying order in apparently random data.

Chaoscope is a fun program. I still have dozens that I created with it. I suppose it is somewhat different than classic fractals, the difference being 3 dimensionality. Most fractal creation programs are 2d. You can flip these things around in 3 dimensional virtual space and view them from any angle, when working on them, which is something that you might not guess from looking a the 2d render.

I feel strangely attracted to these.

@gonzmosis yeah, but it would be even more interesting (and, perhaps, more beautiul) if i knew what strange attractors mean... anyway, thanks for sharing :D

Oh wow, you made that soundtrack yourself? That's so awesome! It's so trippy, I can't get it out of my head!
great! you have to know what strange attractors are to find it meaningful. Just like everything else you asign meaning to.

Do you have to understand refraction and dispersion to love looking at sunsets?
And I like looking at clouds, but I don't think clouds "mean" anything.
So it is with Strange Attractors. I just like looking at them. They are meaningless.

These images are visualizations of mathematical "objects" called Strange Attractors.
The program used to create this is free and can be found at http://www.btinternet.com/~ndesprez/
I made the soundtrack using fruityloops.
